ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIP

29-30 June 2024

We had a brilliant day in Walsall at the English Championships. Amelie, our Level 3 U13 gymnast competed on Sunday morning.

She performed her difficult routines well and with consistency. We are so proud of her and all of the hard work she puts in every training in order to keep increasing the difficulty of her routines.

Amelie’s results:
Hoop 3rd
Clubs 3rd (only on a tie break she didn’t get the silver)
Overall 2nd

Thanks to her coach Ama who has worked hard to prepare her, all the other coaches in our team, and to our judge Melissa.

NDP Finals

15-16 June 2024

We had a long but great weekend at NDP Finals in Newcastle. Well done to Athanasia who came home with a medal from her first British competition. This competition is the biggest of the year for all those who qualify at level 4 (of 5) in the National Development Programme.

Athanasia’s results were:

Hoop 3rd (and another Personal Best score of 19)
Clubs 8th
Overall 6th

Since grades she has consistently improved her score and is now scoring more than 8 points than she scored in February which is a really brilliant achievement.

16 - 17 of March

Well done to our girls at the London Championships on Saturday 16 March
We saw some brilliant performances, some really lovely elements and also some medals.
The competition was huge with some of our girls’ categories having 20 gymnasts. It’s great to see that RG is so popular in London.

Thanks to all our coaches, judges and to our parents for supporting the girls.

Zone A Regional Grades

17-18 February 2024

Three of our gymnasts participated in Zone A Regional Grades 2024 at Redbridge Leisure Centre.

Well done to Athanasia our grade 7 gymnast who achieved the score for Level 4 and qualified for NDP Finals. She is at the beginning of her journey competing at a Level 4 and we are excited to see what she can do at Espoir English Championships and NDP Finals.

Amelie (grade 8) and Naama (grade 9) both beat last years qualifying score by more than 3 points but unfortunately in this year’s strong field it was not quite enough. They had some beautiful performances and high scores, particularly in hoop, and will compete at English Championships as level 3 in June.

Well done for the results you achieved.
